Trailer Axle Drop Spindle, Tapered for 1 3/8" x 1 1/16" bearings, 2900-3750lb Axles #34398
This trailer axle spindle is for use with 1 3/8" x 1 1/16" trailer wheel bearings. Complete with standard 4-bolt brake flange. Axle spindle nut, washer, retaining ring, and cotter pin are included. Up to 1,875lb. capacity each. This spindle is for use with 2" x 2" or 2" x 3" tubing. Steel tubing should be welded to the flat surface of the leg of the spindle.

One spindle on the axle was destroyed. I cut the old spindle of making sure it was square to the tube. Be aware that some axles have a a camber crow in it that needs to be maintained. The spindle was clamped square and a jig was used to verify the height (drop) of the spindle. It was spot welded on all 4 sides to prevent movement. Then, final welding the sides. A new axle was quoted $750. I repaired this one for less than $100

I was happy that they had all the parts I needed to repair my axel. My intention was to buy a new axcel but the employee was straight up with me and said it would be about 4 to 5 weeks out before I could get one so I bought the spindles and had the spindels welded on my axel by a certified manufacture welder in my area. Saved some money doing it this way too.
