5-Lug Pivoting Hub Mounted Spare Tire Carrier/Mount (Baja-style) (#PBT-HMST-5LUG)

When I received the pivoting hub I noted a hole pattern on receiver a little off. I contacted parts department and they shipped a replacement immediately. Thank you parts department!! I was impressed how well protected item is for shipping given the weight and odd shape. Pivoting hub mounted without issue and supports the weight of heavy tongue on trailer. Mounted for a shoal draft 25ft sail boat that I launch and retrieve using 30’ strap. Product well designed and well built. Happy to have spent the money for this item.

It's a well-made product. Used it for the first time and it worked well. It's definitely heavy, but it kind of needs to be if it's going to be strong enough.

If I were to order this product again, I'd ask for holes to be drilled on all sides of the mount. With holes on just two sides (the way it comes), you have to remove the mount twice every time you want to launch. With my trailer (jetski), I could just mount the wheel in the sideways position (if the other holes were there) and never have to remove at all. (It's hard to explain and not sure this would be possible with all trailers.)

In any event, it's an impressive product. Nice to see something that's designed so well and built to last.

Very well built. Impressed with hub assembly and bearings. Had considered having similar fabricated. Know for certain that the components and workmanship would not have been as good. This is an example of buying something professionally made is the correct decision. I do wish the 'pivot' function was on a 'quick release' hub or rotator plate. I can imagine that when I get older, pulling the axle out of the assembly and re-positioning it to be in the down/engaged position may be a challenge when alone. Really do feel like the value met what I paid. A satisfied customer.

The 5 lug spare tire carrier is a great product. Makes beach launching a breeze.

This was exactly what we needed to get our boat into our boat house, which is on a lake with no road access (ie no car) so it’s attached to an uphill wench system into the boat house. This allows our boat to be pulled out of the water with ease and makes steady all the way up! So glad I found this!

This is my third Baja wheel (three different boats), I’ve also turned all my friends onto it! It’s an absolute must for our long shallow salt water launches for skiffs 18’ or less. Love this product by Pacific Trailers!
